Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shoot issues using diagnostic tools and testing methods.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to insure optimum performance and reliability.
  • Write work requests and to manage open work order backlog.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers on acquiring the correct parts needed and recommend a storeroom inventory parts list.
  • Development of preventive and predictive maintenance plans for the plant HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance planner major shutdown work with a high degree of specialization, regarding instructions, human resource estimates, materials, special tools, and estimated job duration.
  • Perform analysis, testing and preparation of special reports as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
  • Work independently and autonomously on daily tasks and assignments.
  • Work with maintenance mechanics, electricians, automation technicians, and or other duties as assigned.
  • Must be involved in safety by the investigation and reporting of accidents involving equipment.
  • Must promote and enforce safe working practices and good housekeeping, as well as maintain tools and equipment in working order.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent from accredited institution is required
  • Technical college preferred/On-the-job experience required
  • 3- 5 years in an industrial environment preferred
  • Candidate should have a strong technical background with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
  • In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces
