This position is at the Maryneal, Texas facility, starting pay is $26.81.

Our entry-level yard serviceman position is critical in supporting our plant needs by performing a combination of duties in a professional, safe, and efficient manner. In this position, you will have plenty of opportunities to learn other skills, develop in other areas, and build a career with Buzzi Unicem USA. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Required to follow safety policy and all paperwork related to safety (SLAMs, Safety Talks, Use of proper PPE, etc.)
• Performs housekeeping in the plant. Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the plant.
• Required to operate and maintain various hand tools and mobile equipment safely and proficiently, i.e., Skid loader, Forklift, Vacuum Truck, Manlift, Payloader, bulldozer, and power sweepers.
• Required to perform safety checks on each piece of equipment used throughout the shift, and appropriate paperwork turned in to the supervisor at the end of the shift.
• Must be able to work off shifts, overtime, and weekends as the labor/plant supervisor requires.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, read and write the English language, and understand instructions, particularly regarding safety.
• Ability to perform under little supervision.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, work for extended periods in one position, work in confined spaces, perform duties at excessive heights, lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
• Duties that occur at irregular intervals but that are of a recurring and essential nature.
• Degree of accountability for human and equipment safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required
• Speak, read, write, and understand English

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Climbing is ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.  Body ability is emphasized.  This factor is essential if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.  Balancing is maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.  This factor is essential if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.  Stooping is bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.  This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.  Walking is moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
