Responsibilities

Buzzi Unicem USA, is looking for a Technician at our Cape Girardeau Alternate Fuels Facility, with a starting pay of $$23.04.

  1. Receives all shipments of fuel streams that arrive at the facility. Upon receipt makes sure that all documentation regulated by governmental agencies is in full compliance.
  2. Samples all waste streams that are delivered to the facility according to established procedures, and delivers the sample to the Laboratory for appropriate testing.
  3. Inventories all drum deliveries to the plant according to a predetermined methodology, such that blending may be easily accomplished to meet established burn specifications.
  4. Processed drums of waste streams in the drum processing area of the facility according to the procedures established by the facility's supervision.
  5. Delivers pails of solid waste residues generated at the facility to the kiln, and injects those pails into the kiln for destruction.
  6. Makes daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of all aspects of the facility as designated on inspection lists.
  7. Makes repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment in the facility as directed by supervisors.
  8. Responsible for those housekeeping duties necessary to keep the Alternate Fuels facility in an orderly and clean environment.
  9. Works in a safe and productive manner according to established guidelines.

Communications:

  1. Establishes and maintains communications between other technicians in order to accomplish the objectives of the facility.
  2. Establishes and maintains dialogue with supervision to effectively perform those duties necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Alternate Fuels facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Candidates must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts and weekends
